Want to organize a trip to Fairy Meadow Hut for ACC Yukon members?

Do you want to organize a week of backcountry skiing at Fairy Meadow Hut (in B.C.) for ACC Yukon members next winter? This hut is hard to get into (there is a lottery system), but ACC chapters are eligible for the advance lottery.

If you are interested in organizing this, contact the ACC Yukon board (info@accyukon.ca) and we will assist you.

Here are some details, from the Alpine Club of Canada:

Lottery applications can be for any weeks starting December 23rd, 2017 with the final week available for application April 21st, 2018.

Applicants must enter the lottery in groups of minimum of 4 to a maximum of 20.
The above information has to be confirmed by March 12th, 2017 (group number and preferred week). On March 20, you will know if you "won" your week. The group's 20% deposit would be required by March 31st, 2017 at the latest. (ACC Yukon will not front this deposit, it must be paid by people who commit to the trip).

Rates for ski weeks are $1,000 per person and include 7 nights accommodation and return flights (GST on flights not included).

The winning applicant in the lottery will be considered the week’s group leader and will be the liaison between the group and the Alpine Club of Canada. The winning applicant will also be responsible for making all deposits and final payments. All payments are non refundable for the ski weeks.

If your group is employing a guide and/or cook, they need to be included in your group size.

Traveling in the Fairy Meadow backcountry area is for advance intermediate and advance/expert skiers with backcountry experience.

All trips are self-guided and self-catered.
